About this atlas

The FVE91 parcellation is described in: Daniel J. Felleman and David C. Van Essen (1991) "Distributed hierarchical processing in the primate cerebral cortex" Cereb Cortex. 1(1):1-47.

F99 space is introduced in: David C. Van Essen (2002) "Windows on the brain. The emerging role of atlases and databases in neuroscience." Curr. Op. Neurobiol. 12: 574-579, doi: 10.1016/S0959-4388(02)00361-6.

F99 space is defined by a 0.5 mm MRI scan of an approx. 5 year old male macaque monkey case F99UA1, provided by M. Logothetis.
